The Golf Club* at Playacar offers the perfect combination of natural beauty and the work of man. This magnificent golf course, carved out of the dense Mayan Jungle is only a few hundred yards away from the crystal-clear, turquoise ocean and the fine white sands of the Mexican Caribbean Sea.
The intelligent architectural design of the golf course has converted Playa del Carmen into one of the most popular tourism destinations in all of Mexico. The Golf Club at Playacar was inaugurated September 15th, 1994. These 7202 yards, par 72, championship golf course was designed and built under the watchful eye of renowned architect, Robert Von Hagge. With a slope rating of 148 from the championship tees, 136 from the white tees, and 134 from the red tees, it is as challenging to play as it is beautiful to view.
El Camaleon Golf Course* at Mayakoba
The Greg Norman designed 18-hole resort course, bends through three distinct landscapes - mangrove jungles, limestone canals and oceanfront stretches resulting in breathtaking vistas. Opened in 2006.
Winding under a forest canopy and through the tropical landscape El Camaleón golf course hosts golf enthusiasts who can experience fairways lined with sand dunes and mangroves; challenge themselves with unique hazards such as cenotes (subterranean caves) and crystal clear lagoons, then take in the alluring vistas from greens perched on the edge of the Caribbean Sea. This place is much more than just a golf experience.
